Description
This painting illustrates an event that happens in the story of Blacksheep7, where a boy [a pseudo-religious figure called a Blacksheep] and his guardian escape an orchestrated assasination attempt.I haven't completely finalized any character or mech designs, but so far I'm getting closer to the look I want to get across. The mech is actually a temporary design, I'm getting into the habit of buying model kits for reference purposes.
I've completely gone off the deep end this image, the actual size is 4500x7500 pixels at 400dpi. On top of adding more canvas size I basically repainted the background and the parts of the characters. Although an unfortunate computer crash over the winter holidays caused me to work again from the halfway point on, I kinda think the second time around was much better than what I had before the crash even if I had to compromise some details and colours. The gunfire was a first for me, I had no idea what it should look like or where it should be going. After about 2 days of messing around I managed to get something that looks alright.
It's the first time I've ever done anything so huge. The only thing going through my head right now is OMG IT'S DONE!!!!!
Special thanks to the people I've bugged about this and that while tearing my hair out painting this thing. You know who you are
